Are you considering taking a gap year to work and travel?
Perhaps you’ve considered volunteering somewhere for a while?
The Gambia is a small country in Africa; the smiling coast!
It’s a colorful country full of friendly people.
The Cameroon Foundation has been supporting the BYMYRA school here for many years, a place where children aged 4 to 17 can go to school.
Do you enjoy doing activities with children?
You can tailor your efforts to your interests. For example, do you want to teach, help in the classroom, record podcasts, make videos, teach sports, or are creative activities more your thing?
We can arrange good, affordable accommodation for you and know reliable taxi drivers. But perhaps you find it challenging to travel to school every day by public transport!
Looking for an adventure but not sure what you want? Feel free to contact us; we’re happy to help!
You’re very welcome!
Yente and Kiet
Two inspired teenagers, Yente and Kiet, visited Gambia from November 15th to December 10th and contributed creatively to the Bymyra School.
They are so enthusiastic that they started an Instagram campaign to inform other young people about the opportunity to contribute to the project. This way, young people on a gap year, like them, can spend a month or so in Gambia and at the Bymyra School.
